Where could your Bachelors of Science in Nursing take you?

No matter the professional setting, there is a strong push for nurses to acquire their Bachelor's degree in order to advance. Many graduates of a BSN program develop a career in a supervisory or management role in a variety of healthcare facilities.

A BSN is the minimum requirement for a school nurse, who oversees the care of students in K-12 settings. Others remain in the hospital setting providing care to patients at the bedside. A bachelor's prepared nurse may follow the path of a master's or doctorate degree in Nursing to further pursue a position as an advanced practice nurse or nursing professor. A graduate may advance in fields outside the hospital such as home health or community clinics that require leadership and supervisory skills.

Our RN to BSN program was designed specifically for nurses who have already earned their Associate's degree and RN license.

You will become competent in leadership and management skills, research, informatics, healthcare policy, community and public health. A baccalaureate prepared registered nurse is a provider of care, designer/manager/coordinator of care, and a member of the nursing profession. To prepare the graduate for advancement in their career, the BSN program provides a well-rounded education including concepts of interprofessional teams, evidence based practice, quality improvement, patient safety, informatics, clinical reasoning/critical thinking, generics and genomics, cultural sensitivity, professionalism, and practice across the lifespan in a dynamic and complex healthcare environment.
