This Information Technology bachelor’s degree program¹ provides students with a strong foundation in the principles and methods of information technology, as well as the organizational knowledge and tools for applying IT across a variety of network architectures and settings.

This program is designed to build both technical and business skills, a combination that is increasingly valued by today’s employers. Through your choice of electives, you can design a broad program that touches on several IT disciplines or narrow your focus to deepen your knowledge in your niche area of information technology, including Oracle® administration, web applications development, project management or database security and auditing.

The National College Information Technology bachelor’s degree program offers an externship placement which will provide you the opportunity to gain career-related experience and strengthen your resume.

²Applicants applying to the online bachelor’s degree program should have earned an associate’s degree in any discipline. The online division is approved to offer the bachelor’s degree in Information Technology in the state of Virginia.

²Refresher training is tuition-free for qualified students. Additional costs such as lab fees, books and supplies are the responsibilities of the student. Retraining is limited to the program from which the student graduated and is subject to space available.

Your Learning Experience

  • Learn to install, configure, manage, maintain and troubleshoot networks.
  • Build a strong foundation in quantitative methods, programming, and technology—including database management, operating systems, networks, internet essentials and the organizational knowledge and tools necessary for broadly applying information across the computing environment.
  • Learn how to create IT solutions to solve organizational problems.
  • Acquire the programming, systems analyst and software skills required to pursue a career in information technology.
  • Gain practical skills and hands-on experience by working a 120-hour externship in a supervised business environment with emphasis on network administration and support.
