Local Instructor Honored as Teacher of the Year
Lynchburg, VA – The Virginia Career College Association recognized Marvin Cash from the Lynchburg campus of National College as Teacher of the Year.
The Virginia Career College Association, comprised of 20 private colleges, honors outstanding instructors every year at their annual conference. Nancy Fortune, Director of Admissions for the Lynchburg campus, nominated the campus’s History and General Education Department Chair, Marvin Cash, because of his dedication to expand his students’ knowledge.
“His students are actively involved in their education because he challenges them to become a part of their studies with projects and assignments outside of the textbook,” Nancy said.
Cash has been an instructor for National College since 1989. He is also the campus’s coordinator for the Student Activities Council and assists students in planning activities, bus trips, and campus functions. He is a board member for the Legacy Museum.
