Honored Graduate Returns for Second Degree

Jul 08, 2013

Recent graduate, Wayne Kregiel, is an National College success story.  Wayne began his studies at the Parkersburg Campus when it first opened in March, 2011.  Using his educational benefits from the G.I. Bill, Wayne received his Associate of Science degree in information systems engineering (ISE) in April, 2013 and was presented with the Leadership Award at the graduation ceremony.  “[Wayne] has always shown a positive attitude during his time at National…he has continually been someone that other students can go to with questions,” said Ginger McConnell, career center director, describing Wayne’s selection for this award. “[He] always has a smile and a positive word for classmates, instructors, and staff.” Wayne is now utilizing the skills and knowledge he received at National to use in his human resource assistant position at the Bureau of Public Debt.

“You will be surprised how many doors open up with a college education.  National College was there to assist me in attaining my educational goals,” Wayne says of his experience at National. “There are many reasons to attend, from the [instructors] in the classroom sharing their experiences, the staff never [being] too busy to tackle any problem, and the help [that one receives] even after graduation to find a job in [their] chosen field.  This is one thing that sets this college apart from others in the area.  The people here care and will work with you to help you realize your dreams.”

Wayne has returned to National and plans to pursue training in our new cyber security program.
