Q. What does it cost to attend National College?

The exact cost of attending varies from student to student. However, once they have applied the amount of benefits available to them from the VA and elsewhere, many servicemembers find they can attend National with minimal of pocket tuition expense.

Contact your local National College campus for detailed information regarding tuition costs and the various forms of tuition assistance for which you may be eligible.

Q. Who is eligible to receive military tuition assistance from National College?

The answer to this question varies, depending on a student's individual eligibility. But, in all cases, National works hard to see that students receive the maximum amount of tuition assistance for which they qualify.

Generally speaking, tuition assistance is available to all military members including Active Duty, Reservists, members of the National Guard, and their family members.

From grants and scholarships, to loans and federal work study programs, there are a number of options to explore.

Q. Will I be able to use my military Tuition Assistance (TA) at National College?

Yes. Servicemembers may use their full annual entitlements at National College. To learn more or to verify eligibility, contact your local National College campus.

Q. Does National College accept credits from other schools or colleges?

Yes. Prior collegiate work from an institution previously attended by the student is accepted by National College when it is demonstrated that this work is in keeping with career and educational objectives of the student's chosen course of study. Transfer credits are accepted on an individual basis after complete evaluation.

Q. Does National accept military training credits?

Yes. The college offers opportunities for award of credit to students who demonstrate competency in specific subject areas. The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a nationwide testing program through which an individual can validate learning and receive college credit.

College credit may also be received through course work and examinations, including DANTES, which meet the American Council on Education (ACE) guidelines.

Additionally, National College is designated as a Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC) and will award credit for military courses in accordance with SOC and ACE guidelines.
