Top Quality

Students in the Phlebotomy Techniques class at the Youngstown Campus recently surprised their instructor, Rita Johnson (pictured in the center with blind folds), by "kidnapping" her and taking her to a birthday celebration. Tamrisha Teague, Devida Ellis, Laura Burcham, Danielle Grosick, and Sherri Andamasaris (pictured left to right), wanted to show Rita appreciation for being such a great instructor. They said she has remarkable patience in explaining certain procedures again and again. She goes over a concept or lesson as many times as it takes for students to understand. The students feel that Rita is one of the top quality instructors that they have had in Youngstown. Danielle said that "Ms. Johnson is awesome," and the whole group agrees. Tamrisha and Sherri say that they will feel very confident in their externship next term because of the quality instruction they are getting in class. This is Rita's first term teaching at National and she really enjoys it. She has some experience teaching at other colleges but prefers National because everyone is willing to support and help each other in order to ensure student success.
