New Computer Technician

Joshua Browning is only in his third term at the Youngstown Campus and has already taken and passed the A+ certification test for computer hardware and software. This certification gives him the title of "Computer Technician." This type of certification is not mandatory but strongly recommended as it can improve a student's employment possibilities and enhance customer confidence. Joshua aims to get five certifications before he graduates, particularly in Network PlusTM and various MicrosoftTM platforms. He also hopes to specialize in computer networking or security, and will probably start his new career with a small company.
When researching colleges, National College is the only school that had exactly what Joshua was looking for. He said that even the title of the program, information systems engineering (ISE), told him that this program was perfectly suited to him. Department Chair Bill Wittman and Robert Johnson are two ISE instructors that Joshua admires and he always looks forward to their classes. Bill said that Joshua is "one of the program's top students" and he personally recommended Joshua to take the certification test. Robert said, "Joshua is a hard working student with a positive attitude."
