Moving with a Degree in Hand

Marilyn Woodcock will finish her degree in business administration-accounting in May. While preparing for her spring term schedule with Student Services Representative Lisa Rohrbaugh, Marilyn learned she needed five classes to complete the degree requirements. She had to get special permission from Campus Director Tim Philibin to schedule that many classes in one term so she can graduate in May. After reviewing her transcript and learning that she has a 4.0 grade point average and excellent attendance, Tim granted her permission.
Marilyn is planning to move to North Carolina with her three young children and look for an accounting job in a small firm that is privately owned, perhaps even an online company. She recommends National College "for students who take their education seriously." The college's biggest asset is the small class size according to Marilyn, she says that particularly in accounting classes she values the "hands-on" teaching that this allows. She enjoys learning and appreciates the variety of assignments and projects, for example, making a children's book for her Environmental Science class.
