Inspired by Computers

Inspiration for going to college comes from many sources. For Fatima Fareed, it started with using her father's home computer. Fatima is a student at the Youngstown Campus in the computer applications technology degree program. She decided to go to college after getting laid off from the Dinesol Corporation in Niles and she chose a computer program because she enjoyed working on her father's computer.
This past January, Fatima started working for the campus as a work-study student. She is a dedicated student involved with many on-campus activities including membership in Club Zero, the campus's club for students with perfect attendance; the honor society Alpha Beta Kappa; and the Student Activities Council. Her attitude toward school and life is easily summed up by saying, "Don't sit at home, don't plan and scheme...just do it."
Fatima likes everything about National College. She said the location is very convenient and she relishes the challenge of her class work. She also noted that the staff and instructors are very helpful and patient. In fact, she enjoys National so much, she said she would like to one day work for the College.
