'Good to the Bone'

Arnold Lawson is a new student in the business administration-management program at the Youngstown Campus but he is an old hand at cooking barbecue. Arnold has been following his family's tradition with some of their passed down recipes.
Education for his dream career started with a program in culinary arts with the Marriott Corporation and is now continuing at National College. His mission is to serve "one of a kind, hand-carved, seasoned, roasted and baked to perfection barbeque" with a homemade touch and served with pride since 1995. His first commercial venture was cooking outside of Rosita's, a Mexican restaurant in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was quickly followed by his own restaurant in a former pizza shop. He now has moved back home to Youngstown and has a catering business called Mr. Arnold's Good to the Bone BBQ. He is determined to succeed and advises other students to follow their own entrepreneurial ideas.
Arnold is a self-confessed workaholic who learned quite a bit by trial and error and is now ready and eager to learn in the classroom. He said that all of his National College instructors are passionate, sincere, and have valuable experience to pass on to their students. He also said that he learns something new every day and really enjoys his classes. Nothing keeps him from coming to class; he is totally committed to getting his degree. Giving credit to his father, Arnold calls himself a "doer," not just a talker. He has concrete goals and knows that the education he is getting from National is the key to his future.
