"Why I chose National College"

Alexis Wilson was one of many high school seniors to face the pressures of choosing the right college and preparing for her future. After briefly attending a local community college, she enrolled at the Roanoke Valley Campus in the Business Administration – Management program. Alexis recently shared her story and explained how she chose National.
For every high school senior, the pressures and concerns of what college you are going to go to and what you want to go to school to learn can be very stressful. As for me, I wasn’t sure what college I wanted to go to but I knew I wanted to study business.
Originally, I decided to go to a local community college for two years and then transfer to another school for my bachelor’s degree. After my first term there I realized the school was not right for me. Thankfully, a friend of mine had suggested that I check out National College.
“I can now get my four year degree while taking all the classes that interest me.”
…After my research I came up with several reasons why National would be the right school for me. One reason I chose National is that I would be able to go directly into the subject I wanted my degree in. I would be taking classes such as Small Business Administration and Human Resource Management. Even subjects I had taken in high school that I would be taking here, such as history and math, would revolve around business.
I also discovered I could continue to work full-time while going to school. National will let you choose the hours you would prefer to be in class so your school will not prevent you from being at your job. National also has classes set up so you will not be at school three or four days a week for one class. Plus you can do days or evenings depending on your preference.
The final and most important reason that led me to my decision to attend National was that I wouldn’t have to transfer to a different school to finish my bachelor’s degree. That quality alone makes National stand out to me…
I am so grateful to have National College right here in Salem. I can now get my four year degree while taking all the classes that interest me. I can still work full-time and advance my career after receiving my degree. I would recommend National College to anyone looking for a bright future.
