Job Security Before Graduation

Pikeville student Amy Brinager recently found success with a new job as a pharmacy technician for Tug Valley Pharmacy in Williamson, West Virginia. Amy will graduate this month with a diploma from the pharmacy technician program. She started her new position in April filling prescriptions, running the cash register, and stocking inventory. She operates the Scriptpro counting machine that accounts for 80% of their medicines and works the drive-thru waiting on numerous customers throughout the day.
Owner of the pharmacy and operating pharmacist Randy Ballangee hired Amy the following Monday upon completion of her externship. He said, “Amy is outstanding as a pharmacy technician.” She is excited about her new job and she attributes her career success to the informative courses and the excellent instruction she received at National.
