Voter Registration
The Memphis Campus continuously encourages students to take advantage of the right to vote. Recently, the campus organized a voter registration day with two officials from the Shelby County Election Commission. Students had the opportunity to register to vote to be ready for the primaries, which will be held in October.
This has been a fiery time politically; not only on a national level but also for candidates who are running for office locally. Students are learning the political process by actively taking part in the various steps for electing a candidate. They are learning from studying the background of the different candidates, to the voter registration process, and working the polls.
