Breaking New Ground
The Memphis Campus was well represented at the ground breaking ceremony for LeBonheur Children’s Hospital. Representing the College were Director of the Surgical Technology program Michael Franklin (right) and Career Center Director Dorothy Gourdine (left). The event took place at the site of the old Memphis Mental Health Institute building which is being demolished to make room for the new hospital, a $327 million expansion project. The entire project is expected to be done by the end of 2011.
As the Memphis Campus is already actively involved with Gift of Life and LeBonheur hospital staff, they are excited to forge new partnerships with the updated facility for medical students.
