Organ Field Trip
Memphis Campus Clinical Coordinator Effie Tucker and Director of Health Care Education Afework Keskessa, MD, recently took students in the medial assisting and surgical tech program on a tour of the Medical Education Research Institute Lab.
On the field trip, students had the opportunity to view cadavers and were able to touch and hold a human heart, brain, lungs, and an eye. In viewing the body organs, it allowed the students to obtain a better understanding of the anatomy of the human body. The tour and presentation also gave the students a better insight of organ and body donations and how the process works.
