The Memphis campus is located south of Midtown in the Lamar Industrial Park. Students enjoy the comfort and convenience of modern classrooms and also have full access to computer labs, medical labs, and a surgical technology suite. With these resources at their disposal and with a broad range of course offerings from which to choose, students at the Memphis campus are able acquire professional skills that, in turn, enable them to contribute to the sustained growth of the local economy.

Newly Certified
Memphis Campus graduates Laquita Dailey (pictured) and Shantel Ross have passed the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) exam. Memphis Campus HIT graduates have been eligible to sit for the exam because their campus is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Laquita and Shantel were the first candidates from the campus to take the exam given on June 24th. Both Laquita and Shantel graduated in May of this year and they each took different approaches to preparing for the exam. Shantel said she studied for 2 months while Laquita used her formal training at National to build on her life experiences (she has been coding for over six years) to prepare for the exam. Receiving her certification has already proven beneficial to Laquita as she was recently promoted to Coding Manager at the Regional Medical Center (the “MED”). Shantel is also employed at the MED as a coder. They are both very appreciative of the great instruction provided by the Memphis faculty. Congratulations to both girls!
