Honoring Student Achievement
Approximately 160 students, faculty, and staff attended the 2009 Martinsville Campus Dean’s List Reception held at the Gallery complex in Martinsville on April 24th. The gathering enjoyed a delicious meal and good fellowship before the program began.
During the reception, Campus Director John Scott spoke on the importance of recognizing leadership and strong academic performance in the college environment, and that employers seek these qualities in their employees. After the presentation of Dean’s List certificates, John then presented Who’s Who certificates to 17 students. Gary Jenkins, Director of health Care Education, concluded the evening with a medical pinning ceremony for medical assisting students.
