A Job Finders Fair
The Martinsville Campus held its winter term job fair on February 11th. Fourteen companies and service agencies were represented. Students and graduates were pleased with the opportunity to meet company recruiters, receive employment information, and fill out job applications. The recruiters were just as pleased with the interest they received from the students. The local Workforce Career Center and Virginia Employment Commission were present to provide students with information regarding employment services and information on resumes, interviewing strategies, and proper interview attire. A Mary Kay representative was also present to provide make up and dress-for-success tips. And, as a job fair staple, everyone enjoyed the free popcorn that was popped in the student lounge.
