The Madison Area Agency and Workforce Development Luncheon was held Friday, July 16th. Representatives from the Department of Human Services, Nashville Career Advancement Center, Tennessee Works, and Goodwill were welcomed by Campus Director Patrick Patterson and his staff. The event began with a brief welcome and introduction to the college as Patrick (pictured speaking to his audience) offered the agency representatives a better insight to the college’s program offerings.
The representatives were provided information on the College’s Workforce Development Grant and discussed agency specific requirements for training. “I think you have a great program and can’t wait to work with you and our clients,” stated Idalba Tabares, Goodwill Career Counselor. Following the presentation and discussion, agency representatives were provided with an opportunity to tour the campus.
Patrick Owen, Vocational Rehabilitation, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to attend the event and ask specific questions regarding the college. He also agreed to return to the campus to provide specific training for financial aid and admissions in regard to the nuances associated with Vocational Rehabilitation. This training has been scheduled for August 13 at the Madison Campus.
