Call to Action

When Nashville, Tennessee was hit with the worst flood in its history on the weekend of May 1st, National College quickly responded. The Madison Campus rallied to the call and recruited 15 students and Campus Director Patrick Patterson (pictured - right photo) who are working up to 32 hours a week offering support and assistance to the community as it rebuilds and repairs damage caused by the flood.
In addition, the Campus offered support to several students who were affected by the flood and lost their possessions. Student Activities Council President Sunshine Burr (left photo - pictured on the right) and Student Services Representative Michelle Lydon hit the ground running and created the Campus Flood Relief Area. A classroom was transformed and became a place of hope. Many students, faculty and staff donated clothes, food, household items, time, and more. The flood relief continues to help those students in need and will continue to do so as long as it is needed. Special thanks to everyone that donated items as well as their time. You are appreciated.
