Campus Veterans Meeting
Wednesday, July 16th marked the first meeting of the Madison Campus Student Veterans. This meeting was organized by veteran student Garry Thomas. A student in the Business Administration-Management program, Garry spoke with fellow classmates and discovered that there were many veterans pursuing higher education who were not aware of the veteran benefits and organizations in the Nashville area. He arranged for guest speaker Ms. Birdie Anderson, founder of Next Stage, Inc. to kick off the meeting. Ms. Anderson is a twelve year disabled Gulf War veteran. She founded Next Stage, Inc. to assist women veterans in job training, outreach, housing, and referral services to homeless and under-served veterans in Nashville and surrounding counties. Madison campus is proud to provide this information to our veterans.
