Info Systems Workshop

The Lynchburg Campus recently hosted the latest in its continuing series of workshops, on Information Systems Engineering led by Sue Boyers, Desktop Support Manager for the City of Lynchburg. Students learned valuable information including what to expect if they were to work for the Information Technology Department with the City. Ms. Boyers talked with the students about the type of computer system and configuration that is used by the City, so that employees know how to troubleshoot and help customers with their end-user problems. Students also learned key questions to ask in an interview to show the potential employer of their genuine interest and proper preparation for the interview. All of those in attendance agreed that this was a very beneficial workshop. The staff and students look forward to having Ms. Boyers back on the campus for future workshops.
