National Graduates Are In Demand
On Thursday, February 5, 2009, the Lexington Campus hosted its Winter Career Fair. Approximately 12 employers made it out to speak to current students and graduates including Nesco, Office Team, Accountemps, Manpower, PNC Bank, National City Bank, Arbonne, and Mary Kay. Chiropractor Dr. Dawson came with his masseuse and gave chair massages to anyone interested. Each company took all of the administrative and medical office resumes that Career Center Director Tena Varney could provide. Despite the current economic down-turn, demands for qualified candidates continued to be very high. Several vendors actually expressed a shortage of well-trained applicants and were very eager to speak with our students about employment. The participating students were very well prepared for the career fair and showed up with multiple resumes' in hand - ready to vie for that first big job after graduation.
