Our Business Administration Management program provides students with business training in general administrative skills as well as a diversified background in business management principles. The broad knowledge gained will provide a solid base for entry into a wide range of corporate positions such as marketing, sales, administration, human resources, accounting, and even business ownership. Studies include accounting, business law, computer systems and software technologies, marketing, supervisory management, consumer behavior, communications, and small business management.

Jill Barnes - Instructor

Jill Barnes

Jill Barnes has worked in several clinical social work and social work management positions with foster care programs and adolescent residential treatment programs. She holds a Master of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Tennessee, a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in human resources from Lincoln Memorial University, and is a Licensed Advanced Practice Social Worker in Tennessee. Jill works as the Director of Workforce Development and Personnel at the Helen Ross McNabb Center in Knoxville, TN. She is an instructor of psychology courses at the National College of Business & Technology Knoxville Campus.

Rick Bearden - Instructor

Rick Bearden has worked in the medical and health field for more than 26 years and is presently a nursing student at Lincoln Memorial University. Rick was a Class III Officer in the US Air Force, where he worked with the Medic Team and military transportation. He holds associate degrees in liberal arts and psychology. Rick teaches medical courses at National College of Business & Technology in Knoxville.

Clare Borsari has experience teaching and tutoring math to students of all ages and abilities. During her master's program she gained additional proficiency at the college level in her position as a teaching assistant for several math-intensive architecture classes. She has a particular focus on adult math literacy issues. Clare holds a Bachelor of Science degree in math education and a Master of Architecture degree. She is an instructor at the National College of Business & Technology Knoxville Campus, where she also serves as department chair for general education.

Angela Brown has served in a variety of positions in government business, including Welfare to Work Case Manager, United States Postal Service Data Conversion Operator, and office manager for the U.S Census Bureau. Angela also served 14 years with non-profit organizations and held positions of district and regional manager, state vice president, and state president. She received her bachelor's degree in business administration from Tennessee Wesleyan College and her Master of Education degree and Master of Business Administration degree from Lincoln Memorial University. She holds a Tennessee teaching license, as well as accounting-banking certification. Angela is a current high school business teacher and is an instructor of Microsoft Office courses at the Knoxville Campus.

Bonita Gillespie is a Certified Public Accountant and owns the accounting firm of Gillespie Financial and Tax Service. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Business Education from East Tennessee State University and Bachelor of Science degree in Business Commerce from Knoxville College. Bonita has over 35 years of teaching experience and is an instructor at the Knoxville Campus.

Curt Hall has over 35 years of experience in Human Resource Management as a Generalist with broad areas of responsibility. He is active in the Society for Human Resource Management both locally and regionally. Curt has been the recipient of two major HR awards. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and a Master of Science degree in education. Curt has been an instructor at the Knoxville Campus of National College since 2006.

She has over ten years of experience in a variety of business positions, including Project Manager, Small Business Marketing Consultant, and Quality Improvement Trainer. Elizabeth is an instructor at the National College of Business & Technology Knoxville Campus.

Robin Matyczyk has been in the education field for 15 years. Her background is in elementary education, and she is presently a 4th grade teacher in Pigeon Forge. Robin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in middle education with elementary education certification, a Master of Arts degree in curriculum and instruction, and is an Educational Specialist in administration. She is an instructor at the National College of Business & Technology Knoxville Campus, where she teaches preparatory math and preparatory English courses.

Walter Matyczyk Jr. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and has been an accounting professional since 1985. For the past 25 years, he has been employed with the Internal Revenue Service as a Revenue Agent responsible for the auditing of tax returns. He has also been an instructor of accounting & business courses since 1996, having joined National College of Business & Technology's Knoxville Campus in 2007.

Barb Neblett has worked in the medical field for over 20 years in various capacities. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in education, as well as her medical assisting and phlebotomy training from the University of Tennessee. Barb is a certified medical assistant and certified phlebotomist. She is an instructor at the Knoxville Campus and also serves as Director of Health Care Education.

Brad Sauls - Instructor

PhD, MBA- Human Resources Management, MBA- Marketing, BA

Brad Sauls is an Environmental Coordinator for a local non-profit organization and also serves as an instructor at the National College of Business & Technology Knoxville Campus. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental and Social Sustainability, MBA degrees in both Human Resources Management and Marketing, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Brad also does research in hydrology, solar, and wind power alternatives, as a means of providing better sustainability measures, and focuses much time researching the effects of deforestation in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. He is a Marine Corps veteran.

Sally Sisk holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design and Housing and a Master of Science degree in English Education, both from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has over ten years of experience as a facilitator/educator, covering various levels of education, from middle school to college instruction. Sally is an instructor at the National College of Business & Technology Knoxville Campus.

Meiko Thompson - Instructor

Meiko Thompson obtained both a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, AL. She went on to obtain a PhD in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from Alabama A&M University with a specialization in Soil Microbial Ecology and Biochemistry. A post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville brought Meiko to East Tennessee. She has been an instructor with the Knoxville Campus of National College of Business and Technology since June 2011, where she has taught Biology, Environmental Science, and Preparatory Math.

Kristin Trindle has worked in nursing for over 15 years, first as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and then as a Registered Nurse. Over half of her career has been in the areas of cardiac and emergency medicine. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She is an instructor of Fundamentals of Biology and Medical Terminology courses at the Knoxville Campus.

Andrew Whitten - Network Administration Department Chair

Andrew Whitten has worked in a variety of positions in the information technology, education, and business fields for the last ten years. He worked as a Desktop Support Technician for Academic Technology at Western Kentucky University, a Computer Systems Analyst at Edward Jones, and is currently entering his fourth year teaching Information Systems Engineering, Network Administration, and Computer Applications at National College of Business and Technology's Nashville and Knoxville Campuses. He is currently the Network Administration and Cyber Security Department Chair at the Knoxville Campus. Andrew received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geographic Information Systems from Western Kentucky University and holds various industry certifications, including MCT and MOS.

Get directions to National College's Knoxville, TN Campus

From Interstate 40/75, Take Exit 379A from the east, turning left and crossing over the Interstate, then at the next intersection, turn right on Kingston Pike and another short right at our sign.

Coming from the west, use exit 379 (Bridgewater), go through one red light and at the second red light (Walker Springs Rd.) turn right, then left onto Kingston Pike and left into the College.

On the KAT bus line, route 11A has a stop at the Gallaher View/Kingston Pike intersection.
