Surgical Clinicals to Permanent Position
Indianapolis student Torey Davis recently got a job at Westview Hospital. She is a surgical technology major and just finished her clinical rotation at the same hospital.
Torey is a single mom who had to work while going to school and complete her clinicals all at the same time. She was a fast learner and hard worker and persevered through her challenges. Because of her dedication and focus, Torey earned the respect of her peers as a leader always helping others.
Torey got great experience during her clinical as she scrubbed in for surgical cases that were complicated and well beyond her experience. With support from the hospital staff as well as National staff, she exceeded all expectations.
Director of Surgical Technology Johnny White feels that any patient under Torey's care will be getting the best treatment possible. He said, "I am proud to have been part of Torey's journey as a National College student. We are very proud of her."
