See a New You

On May 12th, students at the Indianapolis campus were treated to a professional dress workshop sponsored by Bausch & Lomb and National College. Renowned optometrist Rhonda Robinson, OD, and Joe Lupo and Jesse Garza, founders of Visual Therapy and well known fashion stylists based in New York City, presented See A New You at the Castleton Mall. Two sessions were held throughout the day so all National students could attend. The event was also open to the public and included a complimentary fashion presentation by Joe and Jesse as well as an individual multi-focal contact lens fitting or eye exam with Dr. Robinson. A book signing of Joe and Jesse’s new book Life in Color followed each session.
The event was considered a success as between 65-75 people, including numerous National students, attended each session. Several students also helped with the event, including students in the information systems engineering program who assisted with the sound set up and video recording. The ISE students learned how computers are used in the production of these types of presentations. Visual Therapy’s main idea was to tell students to “be your best self” and how important it is to dress professional and feeling great in a wardrobe by incorporating their own style.
