Career Ready

In an effort to support students and local community members, the Indianapolis Campus’s Career Center has been busy organizing events that will benefit everyone including career workshops and job fairs. The Campus is now offering Career Ready Workshops on the first Thursday of every month with the first one held on February 5th. The workshop included a special guest speaker and topics covering resume writing and interviewing skills. The next event will be held on March 5th and will also be open to the public in the hopes of offering support to not only students but also to those who have lost their jobs and need to find work in this struggling economic times.
The Campus also hosted a job fair on February 10th for students and the members of the community. Participating employers included the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Kelly Services, Forum Credit Union, Federal Express Group, Diverse Staffing, Meridian Real Estate, U.S. Army, Congressman Carson’s Office, Marten House Hotel, Kraft, AFLAC, and INDY Go to name a few. The event was well attended by 60 people, which included students and outsiders.
