An Eventful Day

On Wednesday, October 8th, the Indianapolis Campus hosted two important events -- first, a networking breakfast, followed by a breast cancer awareness ceremony. The breakfast - the National College Agency Appreciation Breakfast - included approximately 20 local, state, or national agencies, companies, or government offices. In addition to social conversation and a great homemade breakfast, this time provided representatives from each group an opportunity to share their mission and vision, unmet needs, strengths, etc., with the goal of increasing collaboration among entities.
After the breakfast ended, we held our "Hands Around National College for Breast Cancer Awareness" ceremony. This ceremony included approximately 50 people and allowed us to celebrate victory for breast cancer survivors, take time to reflect on the realities of this disease, and reenergize hearts and minds about the continued need for either prevention or a cure.
These two events mobilized administration, faculty, staff, and students alike, with a unified goal nurturing individual and community growth - whether through education, community programs, or enhancing one's health. "Thank you" to the many who mobilized to make these activities a rousing success.
