Breakfast with the Legislators
The Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce hosted Breakfast with the Legislators on February 14th at the Indiana Statehouse. Indianapolis Campus Director Tim Pitman and Community Resource Coordinators David Stephens and Lois Yagle attended the event to represent National College. The Chamber hosts this event to give chamber members the opportunity to speak one on one with legislators about the needs of their companies and the welfare of the state of Indiana.
Tim, David, and Lois spoke to legislators mainly about bus service to the campus. Presently anyone using public transportation must walk several blocks to the campus from the nearest bus stop. The change of bus service to the campus would make a great impact for students that do not have transportation.
