Honoring our Veterans
The Indianapolis Campus honored their veterans on November 8th, with a presentation of a flag lapel pin and a pen/pencil set. Community Resource Coordinators David Stephens and Lois Yagle organized the ceremony to honor our veterans. Campus Director Tim Pitman gave the opening remarks with guest Greg Shields, Regional Director of Operations. David was the master of ceremonies while Greg presented flag lapel pins and pen/pencil sets to the attending veterans in appreciation of their service to our country. First Sergeant Scott Harvey, also an instructor, told the story of the 13 folds of the American Flag that was based upon the principles the country was founded upon. The ceremony was held in the afternoon and evening followed by sandwiches and snacks. Administrative Assistant Janis Lawson organized and served the food and drinks to the guests in attendance.
