"Scoring" a Great Internship
Vashyra Waller, a Dayton student in the Business Administration Management and Accounting programs, was given the opportunity to intern at one of the area’s elite non-profit organizations, SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives). SCORE’s mission is to provide professional counseling, mentoring, training, and educational resources to small businesses. On her first day, she hit the ground running by developing news releases for the organization. She also volunteered to develop and deliver a presentation to small business owners on basic accounting and the utilization of accounting software. Vashyra said, "My ability to help SCORE in this capacity is attributed to the knowledge I gained at National College." Way to go Vashyra!
