The Columbus Campus of National College officially marked its grand opening with a ceremony on Wednesday, July 29. Guest speakers included three members of the Ohio General Assembly. Senate Minority Whip Ray Miller, representing the neighboring 15th District, commended the College's emphasis on the "soft skills" necessary for employment, and extended an offer to speak to National students on the important subject at any time. Assistant Majority Floor Leader Tracy Maxwell Heard, representing the nearby 26th House District, lauded National's commitment to providing career-oriented education. Representative Kevin Bacon, from the 21st District in which the campus is located, led all three legislators in presenting a joint resolution from the General Assembly in commemoration of the event.
The occasion also served to mark a donation from the Campus to the Ohio National Guard Family Readiness Program, underscoring National's commitment to our military veterans and their families.
