Our Pharmacy Technician degree program is designed to provide you with knowledge, laboratory skills, and field experience so that you can assist pharmacists in providing medication and other healthcare products to patients. Students will gain an understanding of medical and pharmaceutical technology, pharmacology, pharmacy record keeping, pharmaceutical techniques, and pharmacy law and ethics. In addition, a 120 hour externship placement is required so students receive hands-on experience in a pharmacy practice site.

Victoria Cavendish has taught mathmatics at several high schools and colleges and is now an instructor at the National College Columbus Campus. She also tutors mathematics privately. Victoria holds an associate degree, a Bachelor of Arts degree, and a Master of Education degree.

Tamara Curry has gained more than 30 years of administrative professional experience in a Fortune 500 company. She received her bachelor's degree in business administration and her master's degree in management from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. Tamara also holds a Certified Administrative Professional certificate with focus on Organizational Management and a Microsoft Office Specialist certificate. She is an instructor of information technology, business, and medical office procedure/finance courses at National College's Columbus Campus, where she also serves as the Business/General Education department chair.

Charles Dobbins - Instructor

Charles Dobbins is an instructor of information technology programs at the Columbus Campus of National College. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry as a Systems Engineer, LAN Administrator, Systems Analyst, Systems Integration Specialist, and IT Training Coordinator. Charles received his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from The Ohio State University and his Master of Business Administration degree from Ohio Dominican University. He holds several Microsoft certifications and has attained hands-on experience with MS Office Suite and several desktop and server operating systems.

Maria Festing has worked in the field of biology and genetics for over a decade, both in a teaching and research capacity. She has also written and published a number of primary research articles. Maria has a Bachelor of Science degree in genetics and developmental biology from The Pennsylvania State University, and a doctoral degree in molecular genetics from The Ohio State University. She received The Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools' 2011 Master Teacher Award. Maria teaches introductory biology courses at the National College Columbus Campus.

Patricia E. Kedzerski is an instructor at the National College Columbus Campus. She has over twenty years of college teaching experience with emphases in English Composition, Basic Writing, and Business and Administrative Communication. Pat is a 2011 National College Dedicated Service Award recipient. Since the Columbus campus opened in 2009, she has served as secretary to the Campus Academic Committee, co-creator of the original Career Readiness Plan and committee member for a number of ad hoc committees. She was the advisor for Purple Note, the campus student newsletter. During 2010-2011, she was an e-mentor with a number of other National College Columbus Campus faculty and staff with Ohio State's Nisonger Center, which matched mentors with students in K-12 schools across Columbus. Pat also taught for more than fifteen years at The Ohio State University, where she earned her master's degree in English Composition. In addition to teaching through the English Department there, she served five years as liaison and instructor in a literacy outreach partnership through the Basic Writing Program and also taught through Ohio State's Office of Minority Affairs' Young Scholars' Program and the Samuel DuBois Cook Summer Program. Her writing has been published in academic journals, and she has presented in her field at national conferences. She is author of a volume of poetry, Take a Giant Step.

Josh Keslar has been working in the medical field for more than 15 years. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Josh spent a majority of his professional career working for Walgreens as a pharmacist and manager, where his responsibilities included prescription processing, administering various injections, taking blood pressures, counselling patients, and customer service. He also gained valuable medical assisting experience working at AccessMD. Josh teaches medical assisting, pharmacy technician, and various general education courses at the Columbus Campus, where he also serves as Director of Health Care Education.

Douglas Lewis - Instructor

Dr. Doug Lewis is president and owner of Excalibur Business Consultants, LLC consulting in a wide range of areas involving healthcare, business, microenterprise development, and law while also maintaining a small law practice on the side. He also serves as general counsel and compliance officer for several other related organizations. He is an instructor of law and ethics, business, healthcare, and other courses at the National College Columbus Campus. Doug has earned his Doctor of Audiology degree along with a Ph.D, Juris Doctor degree, three master's degrees, two bachelor's degrees, and an associate degree. He maintains professional licensure and practices in Law, Clinical Audiology, Insurance, Securities Analysis, and Nursing Home Administration along with earning numerous association certifications and registries.

Stephanie List - Instructor

Stephanie List is a full-time instructor at the Columbus, Ohio Campus of National College, where she primarily teaches the anatomy and physiology courses required for those students enrolled in the various Health Education majors, in addition to medical terminology, pathophysiology, and advanced drug dosage and calculations courses. Stephanie has practiced as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for 7 years, providing anesthetic care for both general surgical and obstetric patients. She was previously employed at Mount Carmel West hospital as a Registered Nurse in the cardiac intensive care unit. Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Wright State University and her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Akron.

Joe LoGiudice has worked in various disciplines of the Information Technology field for two decades. Prior to that, he worked as a staff and freelance news reporter for various media outlets for ten years. He currently works as a freelance technical writer. Joe has a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Management of Information Systems from Franklin University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Journalism from Rutgers University, and is CompTIA A+ certified. He teaches in the Business, General Education, and Information Technology departments, and also is the chairman of the Campus Academic Committee at the National College Columbus Campus.

Dr. Kelvin Webb holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business with a minor in languages from Capital University, Master of Divinity and Master of Theological Studies degrees from Methodist Theological School in Ohio, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary. He is a Microsoft Certified Trainer and a certified Master Microsoft Office Trainer. Kelvin served as Personal Computer Coordinator at the Ohio Department of Transportation for 14 years and was a CompUSA technical trainer for 11 years. He is presently an independent computer consultant, an associate minister, and a National College instructor.
