Making a Difference

The Charlottesville Campus recently hosted its annual Blood Drive. Thanks to the support of students, staff, and faculty, the campus contributed 26 units of blood to a needy cause. This surpasses the goal of 20 units established by Virginia Blood Services (VBS). Students in the medical programs participated in a class presentation prior to the event to reinforce their understanding of the process and they learned how one donor can impact multiple lives. This motivated many of them to “make a difference” and support the Blood Drive. The atmosphere was great as each of the donors enjoyed the fun-loving team of staff from VBS. Thank you for making a difference and meeting a very important need in the Charlottesville community.
