Meleanie Carswell with the Tennessee Health Department and Kristina Morris a representative for the Southwest Virginia Medical Reserve, a branch of the Virginia Health Department, recently visited the Bristol Campus to discuss the H1N1 flu with students, faculty, and staff members. They dispelled myths and rumors regarding the virus and they presented the facts. They also distributed a vaccination schedule."
Our medical assisting students, who will be on the front line in combating pandemics like the H1N1 flu virus, can obviously benefit from this information," said Campus Director Debbie Black. "But it is important for anyone entering the business world to be aware of the facts surrounding any highly contagious illness."
