Singing America's Praises

The Bristol Campus celebrated Constitution Day with a mid-day assembly featuring a musical tribute to America and personal testimony from one of our nation’s sworn defenders of the Constitution. Campus Director Debbie Bowman was mistress of ceremonies while Instructor Ledger delivered the invocation. The Robinson Middle School chorus, under the direction of Connie Branson (who happens to be the mother-in-law of National College graduate and Community Resource Coordinator Jeff Miller), performed two spirited numbers for the gathered students, faculty, staff, and guests. Sergeant First Class William Willis of the Tennessee Army National Guard then spoke about the origins of the U.S. Constitution and its importance in establishing the freedoms we all enjoy. On a beautiful late summer day, it was a great way to celebrate the spirit of citizenship.
