Uniting for the Buddy Walk

On October 3rd, the Bluefield Campus participated in the Buddy Walk for Down's syndrome. When the cause is to benefit children, the entire community gets involved; this couldn't please Campus Director Denver Riffe more.
Denver has a personal interest in this cause because of his adorable grandson, Brayden. Staff and faculty participated on the day of the event while the whole campus assisted in fundraising efforts. Patricia Sell's Psychology class held a "Walking Taco" sale and Instructor Lucy Sisk sold homemade dog treats. It was great to see the campus working together for this worthwhile cause.
Denver is pictured with his grandson Brayden with Mr. Peabody (the dog) representing the walk team, Bassets for Brayden. The event raised money to support the Buddies of Virginia as well as the National Down Syndrome Society.
