Newly Certified

Vanessa Marshall (pictured), the second student at the Akron Area Campus to graduate from the pharmacy technician program, is keeping the trend strong by successfully passing the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination. Vanessa has set a great example for her fellow classmates. She has shown them that with determination and hard work you can achieve success. She did not allow any obstacles to keep her from achieving her goals. She maintained a full-time school schedule as well as full-time employment and maintained high academic standards. One of her externship sites, Discount Drug Mart, noticed her exemplary work performance and realized what a great asset she would be to their pharmacy. They hired her May 28, right after graduation. The Akron Area campus could not be more proud of Vanessa Marshall, CPhT!

Directions to Akron Area

From I-76: Take exit 33 for OH-43 toward Kent/Hartville, heading north. After approximately 3 miles, turn left on to Haymaker Parkway, then continue another 2 miles and turn right on Fishcreek Rd. The campus is approximately ½ mile on your right.

From I-80/Ohio Turnpike: Take exit 180 for OH-8 heading south. After approximately 7 miles, take the Graham Road exit toward Silver Lake/Akron Area, and turn left on to Graham Road. After approximately 3-½ miles, turn right on Fishcreek Road. The campus is approximately ½ mile on your left.

From the south on I-77: Remain on I-77N until Akron, remaining on OH-8 N to Cuyahoga Falls. Take the Graham Road exit toward Silver Lake, turning right on to Graham Road. After approximately 3-½ miles, turn right on Fishcreek Road. The campus is approximately ½ mile on your left.
