2010 Graduation
Parents and family members cheered as the Akron Area Campus held its second annual commencement ceremony at the end of May. Forty-seven graduates walked across the stage to formally receive their associate degrees and diplomas. Eleven students graduated with high honors while 18 graduated with honors. The ceremony was held at the Greystone Hall in downtown Akron and featured a violinist and a soloist. Akron attorney Eddie Sipplen gave the commencement address which focused on perseverance. Mr. Sipplen referred to his life experiences to impress upon the graduates how it is important to have goals and stick to them. At the end of the ceremony, the students gathered at the back of the hall to receive congratulations from staff, faculty and family members.
