A Certifiable Tech

The Akron Area Campus is pleased to announce that the first graduate from the pharmacy technician degree program, Lia Wingler (pictured), has successfully passed the National Pharmacy Technician examination and is now a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Lia graduated from her program in November 2009 and has been working at the Target Pharmacy in Stow since May 2009, when she began her externship. Shortly after she started working as an extern, she realized that she could not have made a better choice for a new career. The staff at the pharmacy had mutual feelings towards Lia and hired her shortly after her externship was over. She has set a standard for her peers at National College by proving herself as a successful pharmacy technician.  Congratulations Lia, we are all proud of you!

Directions to Akron Area

From I-76: Take exit 33 for OH-43 toward Kent/Hartville, heading north. After approximately 3 miles, turn left on to Haymaker Parkway, then continue another 2 miles and turn right on Fishcreek Rd. The campus is approximately ½ mile on your right.

From I-80/Ohio Turnpike: Take exit 180 for OH-8 heading south. After approximately 7 miles, take the Graham Road exit toward Silver Lake/Akron Area, and turn left on to Graham Road. After approximately 3-½ miles, turn right on Fishcreek Road. The campus is approximately ½ mile on your left.

From the south on I-77: Remain on I-77N until Akron, remaining on OH-8 N to Cuyahoga Falls. Take the Graham Road exit toward Silver Lake, turning right on to Graham Road. After approximately 3-½ miles, turn right on Fishcreek Road. The campus is approximately ½ mile on your left.
