Students in Dr. Scott Schlemmer's Dosage and Calculation of Medications class at the Akron Area campus recently welcomed guest speaker Kim Colton (pictured). Ms. Colton is a certified medical assistant and employed by Hudson Dermatology. She took time from her busy schedule to offer career advice to the class. She talked about the responsibilities that a medical assistant would face on a daily basis. She impressed upon the students the value of punctuality and a good work ethic. Ms. Colton closed her presentation by emphasizing that positive interactions with co-workers and patients is the most important aspect of the position. After the presentation, students commented that Ms. Colton's visit helped give them a better understanding of their future roles.
