Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration
Martin Luther King Day was a day of remembrance at the Akron Area Campus. Students reflected on this commemorative day while gathering in the Student Center as they had lunch with their peers. As the "I Have a Dream" speech played, it sparked contemplative thoughts on today's society. The main focus was on whether Dr. King's dream has been fulfilled or not. Even though there was difference in opinions, one thing was clear on campus, that we as a society have came a long since August 28, 1963. Students, staff, and faculty alike were pleased with the outcome and hope that each one of us will become more proactive in making "the dream" a reality. Thank you to the Student Activities Council for providing this inspiring event.
