LifeShare Scholarship

Justin Dickerson, Akron Area student in the business administration-accounting program, was recently selected to receive a $500 scholarship from LifeShare, a nonprofit organization committed to providing a safe and adequate blood and component supply for patient healthcare in Northeast Ohio. Justin earned a 4.0 grade point average in the spring term and was chosen for the scholarship because of his work ethic. He explained that he always had an interest in finance and numbers and was intrigued by accounting when he took a class in high school. Justin attended a larger university for a short time but he later found that National College was the perfect fit. The schedule is flexible and he likes that anyone can attend even if they have a full-time job and children. He is planning to graduate next year and would like to work for a small company or an accounting firm while continuing his studies to earn a bachelor’s degree.
