The Application Process

Please note that all documents must be submitted in English. The online application process is not available for international applicants.

Application instructions for International Undergraduate Students

National College will be able to review your admissions package upon receipt of the below documents. The minimum requirement for admission as an undergraduate student is a high school diploma.

Send your completed admissions application, your one-time, non-refundable application fee of US$125, the completed Partnership for International Education Grant application, your transcripts, and your sponsorship letter. You may authorize the college to charge your credit card or you may enclose an international money order with your application.

Transferring to National College

Are you an International Student currently studying at another institution within the U.S.? Do you currently have a student visa? Have your been accepted to National College and need to transfer your immigration record to ANU?

Simply complete a copy or our transfer form to be completed by you and your student advisor at your current school. Once the form is completed you will need to return it to our office along with a copy of your current I-20. If you have questions about the process please contact the Director of International Programs Office at 540.986.1800.

If you have completed college or university coursework, you must submit official transcripts for your completed course work.

Transferring from National College to another College/University


Once Accepted

You will receive two forms:

Form I-20, Certificate of Eligibility for Non-immigrant Student Status SEVIS Form I-901

The Student and Exchange Visitor Information Service is part of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a branch of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Use your Form I-20 to complete Form I-901, and submit $200. This is required in order for you to be able to receive an F-1 or M-1 nonimmigrant visa to enter the U.S. as a student.

It is highly recommended that you:

  • Complete this form online at http://www.fmjfee.com
  • Pay with a credit card
  • Print a copy of your receipt.

Please note that the fee must be paid and a copy of your receipt must be presented to the U.S. Consulate in order to receive a student visa.

Transfer Students

Information for transferring students from National College

  • If you wish to transfer, you need to be accepted to a SEVIS approved school and present National College with an acceptance letter and Transfer Release form from the new school.
  • You must sign National College's Request for Release of SEVIS Record for Transfer Out Procedure.
  • After these steps have been made, National College will release your SEVIS record to your new school.
