College Access Program


This grant is funded by the state of Kentucky for students attending college in Kentucky. First and second year college students apply for the grant by filing out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The award amounts are determined by legislative approval. The maximum award amount for the 2005-2006 year for a full time student is $1,700 per term.

Workforce Development Grant


This grant, funded by National College , is dedicated to assist eligible displaced or disadvantaged students in the financing of education to help them enter the workforce or transition into another career. Such students are identified through association with local, state or federal job training programs. Award amounts are determined based on student need and availability of funds.

Business Partnership Grant


Employers: If you offer a tuition assistance benefit for employees who want to upgrade their job skills, your investment will go even farther at National College...by thousands of dollars! With the Business Partnership Grant, for every $3 received from a participating employer, National will contribute up to $1 toward the employee's tuition. A: A program where National College partners with businesses whose employees enroll as National College students to enhance their value as employees. The College contributes up to one dollar for every three dollars contributed by the employer toward tuition, books, and fees. Q: Who is eligible to participate? A: Anyone participating in their employer's tuition assistance benefit, provided that the employer has agreed to be a business partner with the College. The student may be full-time or part-time in any diploma or degree program of study at National College. Q: How can my employer become a business partner? A: Notify National College and we will make all the arrangements. Q: How committed is National College to this partnership? A: To help build a stronger work force in our community, National College has allocated $2 million to the program. Q: Can this Business Partnership Grant program be used in conjunction with other scholarships or grants I may receive? A: Yes. Q: What if the tuition assistance I receive from my employer is contingent on the grades I earn or some other variable? A: National College will contribute up to one dollar for every three dollars contributed by the employer. If your employer has a tuition reimbursement program, the College will apply its contribution as a credit to your account after receiving your employer's payment. Q: Is my participation in this program renewable each term? A: Yes. For as long as there is a continuing agreement between your employer and National College and you are meeting your obligations, your grant is continuing and will be recalculated each term. Armed Services Recognition Grant


The Armed Services Recognition Grant is awarded and funded by National College . It is designed to assist our Veteran students to minimize any out of pocket expense they incur while pursuing their education. Students must qualify for educational assistance under Chapter 30, 35, or 1606 to be considered eligible for this grant.

Partnership for International Education Grant


This grant, funded by National College , is designed for international students in order to recognize, award and assist those who wish to continue to excel in their studies. Students who maintained a "B" average in secondary school, or whose secondary school principal or director attests to his or her ability to maintain a "B" average in college, are considered for this scholarship upon receipt of the necessary application and attachments. Full-time students may receive up to $1,200 for their first academic year, to be paid in increments of $250 in consecutive terms.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant


This program was established for undergraduate students with exceptional financial need. Most awards range from $750 to $2,250 per year. Students must apply by the deadlines published each year to be considered for this program.

Federal Pell Grant


This program was established for undergraduate students who have not completed a first baccalaureate degree. Eligibility is determined according to a formula established by the federal government. Eligible students who attend less than full-time may also be eligible to receive a reduced award.
