She has acted as a City Prosecutor and Assistant Law Director for the City of Youngstown and an Administrative Hearing Officer for the State of Ohio. Kim is an instructor at the National College Youngstown Campus.

Andrea Barber

Andrea Barber has worked in the medical field for the last 12 years and is presently a Certified Pharmacy Technician for Akron Children's Hospital in Akron, Ohio. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Youngstown State University and is currently finishing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, while continuing her education in nursing at YSU. Andrea is the externship coordinator for the Pharmacy Technician students at National College in Youngstown and also teaches Pharmacy Technician courses.

Cindy Castor

Cindy Marie Castor has served in a variety of positions within the business arena, including office manager, staff accountant, corporate accountant, information system coordinator/trainer, and has also substituted within the public school systems for grade levels K-12. Cindy received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration, majoring in accounting from Youngstown State University. She has also just received a certificate of completion for the role of Implementation Support Specialist in Health Information Technology from Columbus State Community College. Cindy teaches several information technology courses, as well as the Microsoft suite courses at the Youngstown Campus of National College.

Kevin Chakos
Pharmacy Technician Department Chair

Kevin Chakos has worked in the field of pharmacy for over 12 years, while teaching at the college level for over 4 years. Kevin has a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and has experience in several areas of pharmacy, including institutional, community, insurance (HMO and PBM administration), and research. He is an instructor at the Youngstown, OH and Stark County, OH Campuses of National College, where he teaches preparatory math, introduction to pharmacy practice, and pharmacology courses, in addition to assisting with the externship program. Kevin also serves as Department Chair for the Pharmacy Technician program at both campuses.

John Chovan

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Grove City College and a Master of Business Administration degree in business management from Youngstown State University. John has been an instructor for over seven years and has earned recognition as a Master Teacher in an Ohio Private Career College or School.

Robinette Cotton

Robinette C. Cotton has worked in the technology field for over ten years, instructing children and adults in the areas of computer hardware and software. She has lectured in various workshops and led seminars on technological advancements. Robinette received a bachelor's degree in Business from Youngstown State University and a master's degree in Education with a focus on Instructional Technology from Kent State University. She teaches in the areas of keyboarding, Microsoft software, Adobe software, computer hardware and the Internet.

John Dubos

John Dubos has served in a variety of positions in the steel industry for 30 years, including corporate purchasing manager, industrial engineer. process engineer, and operations research engineer. He has also taught computer science and engineering courses as a part-time instructor at the university level for the past 24 years. John is currently an instructor of accounting and business courses at the National College Youngstown Campus, where he serves as Department Chair of the Accounting Department.

Susan Evans

Susan Evans has worked in the health care industry for 27 years and is presently the Director of Administrative Services for a non-profit corporation serving children and adults with disabilities. She has served in various positions within the health care industry, including as a medical records office manager and as an executive assistant. Susan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Youngstown State University and an Associate of Applied Science degree from Keystone Junior College. She also holds her certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resource Management. She is an instructor at the National College Youngstown Campus.

Jomarie Gagne

Jomarie Gagne has worked in the healthcare field for thirteen years and continues to work in private practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science with a minor in Biology. Jomarie has been an instructor at National College since 2009 of anatomy and physiology and medical terminology courses.

James Gibbs

James Gibbs holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Walsh University. His background is in finance and banking, and he is currently the manager of the paint shop at General Motors in Lordstown, OH. James has been an instructor at the National College Youngstown Campus for the past 5 years.

Gary Hassay

Gary Hassay is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Ohio and has experience in the banking, legal, education, staffing, & not-for-profit industries. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Finance from Youngstown State and a Master of Science in Accounting degree from University of Phoenix. Gary is currently an instructor of accounting and business courses at the National College Youngstown Campus, where he serves as Chair of the Business Department. When he is not at National College, he teaches for a CPA review provider in the Cleveland & Akron areas and is an accountant for a law firm in Warren, Ohio. Additionally, he is in the process of establishing his own CPA firm.

Robert Johnson

Robert Johnson has worked in the IT field for more than 15 years in industries covering several areas, including appliance, automotive, and education. He has held several IT positions from IT Project Manager, Network Administrator, to Web developer. During his time in IT, he has also conducted corporate training to showcase new features of software and systems. Robert received his Bachelor of Science degree in Technology from Kent State University and holds several IT certifications, including CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCSA2003, and MCT. He currently teaches courses in the Computer and Information Systems Engineering programs at the Youngstown Campus, where he also serves as Director of IT Programs.

Rita Johnson

Rita Johnson has worked in the medical field for over 25 years and is currently an instructor at National College in Youngstown, Ohio. She received her Associate of Applied Science degree from Bryant & Stratton College in Parma, Ohio and is a Certified Phlebotomist with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Rita teaches Phlebotomy, Invasive Clinical Procedures, and other medical courses.

Paula Kelley

Paula Kelley is a Certified Medical Assistant with experience in OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics specialties. She has a bachelor's degree in Allied Health from Youngstown State University and is currently working on her Master's degree in Postsecondary Technical Education from Akron University. She is a member of the Tri-County Medical Assistants, the Ohio State Society of Medical Assistants and the American Association of Medical Assistants. Paula received the Master Teacher of the Year award for Ohio in 2010 from the Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools, as well as the National College Distinguished Teacher of the Year award for Ohio in 2012. She currently instructs courses in Clinical Medical Assisting, Non-Invasive Medical Assisting, Medical Law & Ethics, and Exam Success at the National College Youngstown Campus.

Cynthia Miller

Cynthia Miller received an associate degree from the Business Institute of Pennsylvania in Health Information Technology and attended Sharon Regional School of Nursing and Penn State University for Registered Nursing. She has experience working in the field as a pharmacy technician, medical biller, and medical coder. Cynthia is a medical coding instructor with National College in Youngstown, where she teaches Clinical Classifications and Procedural Coding courses.

Rodney Mishler

Rod Mishler is a CPA who teaches Income Tax, Principles of Accounting, Payroll Accounting, and Computerized Accounting. As a practicing CPA, he provides the accounting services and tax preparation of businesses, individuals, and non-profit organizations. He has had the opportunity in his career to serve as chief financial officer and treasurer of midsized corporations giving him experience in both the private and public sector. Rod also volunteers his time as a professional to advise community associations as an elected board member.

Paula Muir

Paula Muir holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration and is a Registered Health Information Technician. She has worked in the traditional Acute Care setting for over 30 years, with 25 of those years having been devoted to Health Information Management (HIM) as the Director and 5 years were as Director of Clinical Support and Physician Services as well as Performance Improvement and Reengineering. She also worked for 4 years as Director of Transcription Services (HIM) for an Outsourcing Company. Paula has served as an instructor at Kent State University and Trumbull County Joint Vocational School, as well as an independent HIM consultant. She currently teaches the Health Information Technology core classes at the National College Youngstown Campus.

She has a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic and is currently President of the Eastern Ohio Chiropractic Society. She teaches many medical courses, including Systems of Transport and Support and Diseases of the Human Body at the Youngstown Campus.

Linda Richards

Linda has over 30 years of experience in the Health Information Management arena. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The College of St. Scholastica, Duluth, MN and holds certifications as a Registered Health Information Technician and a Certified Coding Specialist with AHIMA. Linda teaches Clinical Classifications and Procedural Coding, along with many other Health Information Technology program core classes at the Youngstown Campus, where she serves as Director of the Health Information Technology program.

He is currently Director of IT Programs for National College's Cleveland Area Campus. Mark received his bachelor's degree in Computer Information Science and his MBA from Florida Metropolitan University. He is also certified in A+ and Linux +. Mark is a member of the Association of Computerized Machinery.

Pam Schwartz has been an instructor of computer and keyboarding skills for 25 years. She has written an elementary keyboarding textbook and has published articles in the fields of education and secretarial science. Pam is a Member of Excellence at a local IAAP chapter (Administrative Secretarial Association). She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Ashland University and her Master of Science degree from Youngstown State University. Pam is an instructor of keyboarding, office procedures, and other secretarial skills courses at the National College Youngstown Campus.

Lisa Stoutemire

Lisa Stoutemire has 19 years of experience in the medical field. She obtained a Certificate in Surgical Technology at Choffin School of Surgical Technology and maintains National Certification in Surgical Technology through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. As the Clinical Coordinator for the Surgical Technology program at the Youngstown Campus, she is responsible for the general success of the student's clinical experience, as they work in the hospital setting. Lisa provides classroom and lab instruction for Surgical Technology core classes. She obtains new clinical sites, as well as maintaining current sites and works closely with each student and the Program Director to make certain each student meets all externship requirements.

Charles Willson

Charles Willson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and a Master of Business Administration degree in Healthcare Administration. He progressed from Associate Pharmacy Director to Director of Materials Management and Administrator on Call in Philadelphia, PA; he has worked as a pharmacist and Pharmacy Director in 3 hospitals in Northeast Ohio; and he has managed a retail pharmacy for Rite Aid. Charles also developed Boaz Homes, a rental property management business and developed a real estate sales practice. He is currently working in pharmacy compounding while managing 25 rentals and a real estate sales practice. He is an instructor of pharmacy and business courses at the National College Youngstown Campus.

Danielle Zumpella has worked in the pharmacy field for 11 years. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Toledo and is a registered pharmacist. She currently works as an independent consultant and is the Pharmacy Technician Department Chair at the National College Youngstown Campus. Danielle teaches the exam review class and pharmacology. She has also taught chemistry and medical calculations.

Veronica Zurcher

Veronica Zurcher has worked in the medical field for 22 years. Veronica has worked for Twinsburg Family Practice of the Cleveland Clinic and Children's Hopital Physicians Associates of the Akron's Childrens Hospital. Veronica obtained her Bachelor of Science in Applied Science Degree from Youngstown State University and is a Certified Medical Assistant with the AAMA. Veronica is a three year counselor with the Tri-County Medical Assistants Association. She teaches medical adminstrative and finance, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. She is also responsible for the Medical Assisting Externships and the Phlembotomy Externships.
