Directions:

Heading north or south on US 23/460, the campus is located north of Pikeville. As you near the Pike County/Floyd County line, look for the National College signs and turn onto Sunshine Lane. After a short distance, you will see National College Boulevard on your left.

Douglas Adkins holds a bachelor's degree in English from East Tennessee State University and a Juris Doctorate from Appalachian School of Law. He works as a consultant for companies in need of land and title research. Douglas is an instructor in the general education department at the Pikeville Campus.

Kelly Akers has worked at Pikeville Medical Center for over 4 years as a Data Analyst. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Sullivan University. She also has an Associate degree in Computer Programming from Mayo Technical College. Kelly teaches Management and Accounting courses at the Pikeville Campus.

Darnella Bradley has taught grades 9-12 English for over 14 years. She has been actively involved in increasing student literacy with the Reading Revisited program and writing instruction through writing workshops. She has also taught other subjects such as Humanities, Drama, ACT Prepatation, and Appalachian Studies. Darnella holds a Master of Arts degree in educational leadership, a Master of Arts degree in secondary education with English option, a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education: 9-12 English, an associate degree in general education, and Rank 1 certification. She is an instructor at the Pikeville Campus.

Robert Damron holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, a master's degree in Public Administration, and a master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Math. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, and he worked for the Pike County Board of Education for 16 years. Robert has been an instructor at the National College Pikeville Campus since 2009.

Madeleine Hall has been a registered nurse for 36 years. She has worked in the psychiatric unit, respiratory ICU, medical surgical unit, and in the ER for 15 years. She has been a staff development specialist for the past five years. Madeleine is an instructor at the National College Pikeville Campus.

Samuel Hatcher worked in the banking industry for 30 years. He was a Senior Examiner for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and held various positions, including Vice President and Auditor for Citizens Bank and Trans Financial Bank. Samuel holds an Associate degree from Prestonburg Community College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Kentucky, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Morehead State University. He serves as chair of the Accounting Department at the National College Pikeville Campus.

Matt Hawkins has held several positions within the telecom and IT support industries. He has served as an IT consultant, telecom reporting analyst, product manager and currently serves as the Media Marketing Manager for Lightyear Network Solutions of Kentucky based in Pikeville. Matt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. He was a regular technical content contributor to the Microsoft Knowledge Base and has served in technical training capacities with previous companies. He currently teaches computer and IT fundamentals courses at the Pikeville Campus.

Denise Hylton has been a registered nurse for over 20 years working in areas such as telemetry, ICU, ER, clinical documentation, and business management. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Morehead State University and is currently working on a Master of Science degree in nursing from Loyola University. Denise has been an instructor at National College for more than 6 years in the billing and coding and nursing programs.

Deborah May has been an instructor and General Education Department Chair at the Pikeville Campus since 1999. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Comprehensive Business Education and an Associate of Science degree in Accounting. She has served as a substitute teacher for the Pike County Board of Education.

Edith Owens has been a registered nurse for 20 years. She received her associate degree in nursing from Pikeville College, her bachelor's degree in nursing from Morehead State University, and is currently working on her master's degree in nursing through Liberty University. Edith currently works as a chemo nurse at a local hospital. She teaches Fundamentals, Pediatrics, and OB in nursing at National College's Pikeville Campus.

Wilma Storey - Director of Health Care Education

Wilma Storey has been in the health care field for more than 30 years. She received an Associate degree from Prestonsburg Community College and an Associate degree in Medical Assisting from National College. Wilma is a Certified Medical Assistant, a Registered Medical Assistant, a Certified Phlebotomy Technician, an Emergency Medical Technician, and a Certified Nursing Assistant. She is an instructor in the Medical Assisting program at the Pikeville Campus.

Karen Thacker - Instructor

Karen Thacker has worked in the education field for more than 15 years and is presently a teacher in the Pikeville school system. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Pikeville and her 5th Year Master's degree from Morehead State University. She is an instructor at the Pikeville Campus.
