Michael Cox

Michael Cox has served in the psychological and educational communities for many years. He has taught both online and in-seat courses and has served in a variety of professional capacities. Michael received his Bachelor's degree from West Virginia University, his Master's degree from Walden University, and is currently completing his dissertation for his PhD at Walden University. He is both an author and a motivational speaker and teaches Psychology, Logic, and Ethics courses.

Debra Cunningham

Debra Cunningham is an instructor at the National College Parkersburg Campus. She is a certified business coach and consultant, providing strategic guidance for business owners and is the President and CEO of Evergreen Business Strategies. Debbie holds a Master of Business Administration degree from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with concentration in marketing & advertising from Glenville State College. She has 17 years of experience in medical staff recruiting and served as Vice President of a hospital, supporting a family medicine residency program. She organized and established two different Physician Hospital Organizations and was Executive Director of each. Her expertise includes medical staff credentialing, physician practice management, financial turn-a-rounds, managed care contracting, provider network development, provider network credentialing including NCQA and URAC standards, JCAHO and AOA compliance, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA and Corporate compliance.

Rebecca Darlak

Rebecca Darlak is a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant and has been working in the medical field for 6 years. She works as a PRN for Ravenswood First Care. Rebecca is an instructor at the Parkersburg Campus.

Denver Drake

Denver Drake attended West Virginia University at Parkersburg, earning an AS degree in Engineering. He then attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Denver worked for 20 years in Manufacturing and Chemical Manufacturing industries, as an IT Specialist, a Control Systems Specialist, and a Facility Security Manager, and also performed some duties in Engineering. He is an instructor for the ISE program at the Parkersburg, WV Campus.

Julie Harrell

Julie has worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for over 8 years. Her pharmacy experience includes working in retail and hospital pharmacies. She is an instructor in the Pharmacy Technician program at the Parkersburg Campus.

Joan Lemley

Joan Lemley taught high school English in Wood County for thirty-four years. She has had training in Advanced Placement and Honors English courses. She holds a Master's Degree in Secondary Education Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Language Arts. Joan is an instructor at the National College Parkersburg Campus.

Maile McCrady has worked in the medical field for the past five years. She graduated from University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration and received a Medical Assisting degree from Heald College in Honolulu, Hawaii. Maile is an instructor of medical terminology, health care law and ethics, clinical medical assisting, human disease, and other medical courses at the Parkersburg Campus.

Kristin Meeks

Kristin Meeks has been teaching in higher education for 7 years. She is the owner of a small business that specializes in marketing consulting. Kristin holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing and a master's degree in Integrated Marketing Communications. She is an instructor of math and business courses at the National College Parkersburg Campus.

Deidre Michael

Deidre Michael has worked in the health information technology field for more than 20 years, specializing in coding/billing, and is presently a Health Information Management Consultant for a company based in Tampa, Florida. Deidre received her bachelor's degree in Health Care Services from University of Phoenix and her associate degree in Health Information from Hocking College. She is a Registered Health Information Technician and a Certified Coder and Auditor. She teaches medical coding and health information technology courses at the Parkersburg Campus.

Leah Nix
Director of Health Care Education

Leah Nix is the Director of Health Care Education at National College in Parkersburg, West Virginia. After graduating from Gordon College of Nursing with an associate degree in nursing, she actively practiced nursing in the state of Georgia as a Registerd Nurse for 17 years. In 2011, she served as the Medical Compliance Administrator at Albany Advocacy Resource Center in Albany, Georgia until relocating to West Virginia.

J Belinda Robarge

J. Belinda Robarge is a Certified Physician's Assistant. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill and her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies at Oregon Health & Sciences University, where she also served as a physician assistant in the Division of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. J. Belinda is currently studying riding theory, training, and equine massage therapy at Meredith Manor College. She is an instructor at the National College Parkersburg Campus.

Susan Stout

Susan Stout has extensive experience teaching in various educational institutions. She received her bachelor's degree in secretarial studies and mathematics from Glenville State College, and her master's degree from West Virginia University. She is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a Master Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOS). Susan teaches Microsoft Office, desktop publishing, spreadsheet applications, mathematics, and keyboarding at National College's Parkersburg Campus.

Mark Swann
Director of Information Systems Engineering

Mark Swann has served in a variety of positions within the United States Navy, business, public education, and higher education sectors, including Director of Executive Education at the U. S. Navy Supply Corps School, Executive Director of Admissions at the University of Rio Grande, Commanding Officer at the Navy Reserve Centers in Huntington and Charleston, WV, Officer in Charge of the Webster Field Annex in St. Inigoes, MD, as well as Vice Principal, Teacher, and Coach at several local high schools. Mark received his bachelor's degrees in Science from Excelsior College and in Arts from the University of Maryland, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Touro Univerity International and a Master of Science degree in Information Technology Management from Trident University. Prior to coming to the National College Parkersburg Campus, Mark was the President of Ohio Valley Technology Services in Parkersburg, WV. He is an instructor of Information Systems Engineering courses and the Microsoft Office Suite and serves as the Director of the Information Systems Engineering program.

She has over 20 years of experience in the medical field and in Insurance Billing and Coding. She is an instructor of Intro to Medical Insurance Billing and Coding, Medicare and Medicaid Billing, CPT Coding, and Medical Terminology courses at the National College Parkersburg Campus.
