Carmen Bellos RHIT, AHIMA Approved ICD-10 Trainer Carmen Bellos is a Registered Health Information Technologist who has been in the health care field for over 25 years. She has served as a consultant, operations manager, and a director in the corporate setting and is also an ICD-10 trainer. Carmen has been honored with the Mentor/Educator of the year award for 2011-2012 from the Tennessee chapter of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She is an instructor at the National College of Business & Technology Madison Campus, where she also serves as director of the Health Information Technology program. |

Evelyn Dallas BS Evelyn Dallas received her Bachelor of Science degree from David Lipscomb College. She taught in New Jersey, Virginia, and Tennessee in the areas of Secretarial Science and English. Evelyn is now an instructor of English and Administrative Office related courses at the Nashville Campus and currently serves as General Education Department Chair. Gerardo De La Torre Ugarte BS, MA Gerardo De la Torre-Ugarte has been a university professor for more than 40 years. He began his career working as a Chemical Engineer in a mining company and then taught at universities in Peru, Nicaragua, and the U.S. He is now an instructor of chemistry and math courses at the National College of Business & Technology Madison and Nashville Campuses. Gerardo is a Fulbright scholar and was awarded the "Southeast USA Regional Award in Chemistry Teaching" by the American Chemical Society, "The Hubert Smothers Award for Excellence in Teaching" by the Tennessee Association of Independent Schools and Colleges, and the "Distinguished Science Educator Award" by the Tennessee Academy of Science. He was also named "Professor Emeritus" by the National University of the Peruvian Amazon. |

Angela McDonald B.A., A.S. Angela McDonald has been an instructor with National College of Business & Technology since 2007, where she teaches Medical Assisting, Health Information Technology, and General Education courses. She also leads a coding clinic each term for students who need extra coding help. Under the supervision of the Director of Health Care Education, Angela is the lead instructor over the Medical Office Assistant and the Medical Office Specialist programs. Theresa Miller MBA, MATD Theresa A. Miller is an instructor at the Nashville and Madison Campuses. She has professional experience in the areas of business, healthcare, financial operations, educational programming, instructional curriculum design, and administration. She has been in the educational and healthcare arena for 27 years, primarily in the area if medical billing and coding. Theresa began her career as a Certified Medical Assistant and went further to obtain a bachelors degree and a Master of Business Administration degree. Jaime Nguyen MD, MPH, MS, BA, RMA Jaime Nguyen has more than 15 years of experience working in the medical and health care field. She has a Medical Degree (MD) from MSIH/Columbia University with a focus in global health and preventative medicine, a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Toledo where she researched Type 1 diabetes.
