Directions:

From Amherst (North), Follow 29 South, which turns into 501 North to Exit 10B (460 West Business, Timberlake Road). Once on Timberlake Road go through 4 traffic lights. Candlewood Court is on the right side of the road at the fifth light (between Wendy's and a bank). Take the second drive on the right to National College.

From Bedford (West), Follow 460 to the 460 Business (Timberlake Road) exit. Once on Timberlake go to the 8th traffic light and turn left onto Candlewood Court (there is a Wendy's and a bank). National College is the second drive on the right.

From the south and east, Follow 460 W to the "Airport Road to Greenview Drive" exit (there is no exit number). Turn right off the exit ramp. Go to the second light (at Kentucky Fried Chicken) and then turn right onto Timberlake Road. Turn left onto Candlewood Court at the second light. National College is the second drive on the right.

Diane Ashley has been a public school teacher for 11 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in Science and a Master of Education degree. She is an instructor at the Lynchburg Campus.

Norman Auspitz has served in a variety of positions within Information Technology in Fortune 500 Companies, including programmer, systems analyst, business analyst, project manager, and program manager. Norman received his bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Drexel University, his MMath and PhD in Pure Mathematics from University of Waterloo, and his MBA from McMaster University; he is also a Certified 6 Sigma Greenbelt. His doctoral dissertation served as the basis for the study of "Banach Sheaves". He is an instructor of mathematics and business courses at the Louisville Campus. Norman also serves as an instructor through classroom-conferencing for the Lynchburg Campus.

Judith Bateman holds a bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and a master's degree in Industrial Management. She has worked in various hospitals throughout her career, culminating with a position she held for seven years in the UVA Medical Center Virology/Microbiology Department. She previously served as a Research and Development Microbiologist/QA Microbiologist for 20 years. Judith has been an instructor at the National College Lynchburg Campus since 2009.

Carla Bruce has worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for 13 years and is currently employed at a major chain pharmacy. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Lynchburg College and served for several years as a Registered Nurse in critical care and home health care. She is an instructor of Pharmacy Practice at the National College Lynchburg Campus.

Michal Bucklew has been working in the field of medical billing and coding for over 20 years. She has worked for Medicare as a claims processor and has worked in billing and coding for a regional hospital. Michal is currently working in a large medical office as a medical coder and biller. She holds certifications in Medical Coding Career Studies and Medical Assisting. Michal is an instructor at the National College Lynchburg Campus of Medical Billing and Coding Procedures and Guidelines courses.

Dan Callahan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lynchburg College, a certificate from the University of Miami, and is a member of the Virginia State Bar. Following two years in Korea, he worked for 15 years at Meadows and Meadows law practice and was a controller at MW Manufacturing Co. for 6 years. Dan has a U.S. Coast Guard License and is Virginia Dare Cruise Boat certified for 145 passengers. He has been chairman of the Smith Mountain Regional Planning Commission for 5 years and is an instructor of law courses at the National College Lynchburg Campus.

Elaine Casey has almost 40 years of experience in the medical field as a Registered Nurse. She has worked in various medical settings, including hospitals, physician's offices, and long term care. She currently is working in long term care, overseeing assessments for reimbursement. Elaine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Master of Science degree in Nursing and holds certification as a Resident Assessment Coordinator. She is an instructor at the Lynchburg Campus of anatomy & physiology, clinical medical assisting, health care management, and other medical courses as needed.

Marvin Cash has been an instructor with National College for over 20 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and art from Lynchburg College and is a board member of the Legacy Museum in Lynchburg. Marvin teaches general education courses, particularly history, at the Lynchburg Campus, where he also serves as the campus Student Activities Council advisor.

He earned an Associate of Science degree in Engineering from Tidewater Community College, Virginia Beach, VA; a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics Technology from University of North Florida, Jacksonville, FL; and a Master of Education degree in Vocational Education from Valdosta State University, Valdosta, GA. Dewey has been an instructor in the computer programs at National College for 5 years.

Pamela Hooper has worked in the IT field for over 15 years. She holds a master's degree in Information Technology from Virginia Tech. Pamela teaches troubleshooting software/hardware, server administration, HTML, and other ISE and computer-related courses and serves as Director of the Information Systems Engineering program at the Lynchburg Campus.

Karen holds an associate degree in Business and Accounting, a bachelor's degree in Psychology, and a master's degree in Liberal Arts with a Computer concentration.

Linzie Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Limestone College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Liberty University. He has worked for The Babcock & Wilcox Company for the past 13 years, and for the past 5 years he has managed the Electrical/Electronics Maintenance and Construction Group. He is responsible for managing over 75 direct reports and contractors with an annual operating budget of over $5 Million. Linzie has prior experience as Project Leader, System Integrator, Database Administrator, Technical Writer, Maintenance Mechanic, and Safety/Quality Assurance Inspector. He has served as President and member of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Virginia and serves on the Advisory Council for the Electronics Progam at Central Virginia Community College. Linzie is an instructor at the National College Lynchburg Campus.

Dylan March has served in a variety of positions in his 12 years in the Information Technology field. He currently serves as Corporate Business Technology Manager at Mail America Communications LLC, in Forest, VA. Prior to entering this field, Dylan served in the Army as a military journalist achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. Dylan received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Networking from Strayer University.

Steve Monetti has worked in the accounting field for over 26 years, most recently as Assistant Vice President and Accounting Manager for HSBC Securities (USA), Inc., in New York City. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John's University and has experience in public accounting and both internal and external auditing. Steven is an instructor of economics and all associates- level accounting courses at the Lynchburg Campus.

George Oberg has served in many accounting and financial positions in the manufacturing, extractive and service industries including cost, financial reporting, treasury, chief financial officer, and has had operations oversight responsibilities. He currently owns and operates a horse breeding marketing and sales company. George received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Elmhurst College and a Master of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He is an instructor of most business and accounting courses offered at the National College Lexington Campus. George also serves as an instructor through classroom-conferencing for the Danville, VA, Indianapolis, and Lynchburg Campuses.

Jamey Parks has over five years of management experience in the restaurant, health and fitness, and online education industries and has owned and operated his own candy vending machine business. He is now active in the real estate business and is a Virginia Licensed Realtor. Jamey is the owner of Parks Properties, LLC, where he owns rental properties, buys and flips houses, and is starting a new property management division. He holds an Associate of Science degree in Computer Applications from National College, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a Master of Business Administration degree, both from Liberty University.

Jennifer Petticolas has worked as an English teacher and an administrator (school building and central office) in several school divisions. She is also certified in Speech Communications and is a certified Diversity Trainer. Jennifer is an instructor of English courses at the National College Lynchburg Campus.

Brian Triplett is currently a teacher in the Lynchburg City Schools system. He holds a Graduate Professional Teacher's License from the Virginia Department of Education with endorsements in English 7-12, Social Studies 7-12, Business and Information Technology 7-12, and Elementary PK-6. He is currently working toward an endorsement for School Administration K-12, which will be completed by the end of 2012. Brian has an associate degree from Central Virginia Community College, as well as Bachelor of Arts, Master of Education, and Educational Specialist degrees from Liberty University. He is also pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree at George Washington University. Brian is an instructor at the National College Lynchburg Campus.

Ruth Turner received a Master of Science degree in Business Administration and Education from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from James Madison University. She has served as an accounting instructor at National College since 1991. Ruth has prior experience teaching accounting in several Virginia high schools, in addition to over 30 years of work experience in various administrative and accounting positions. She is currently employed as a Human Resources Manager and Accountant at a local manufacturing company.

Thela Walton - Instructor

Thela Walton is a Registered Respiratory Therapist, specializing in cardiopulmonary science with 30 years of experience in the medical field. She currently serves as a staff therapist at Centra Health. Thela is an instructor of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology courses at the National College Lynchburg Campus.

Sally Boswell Ware has worked in various areas of banking, including officer positions in promotion, marketing, training, investments, and trust administration. She has owned her own business in commercial land title and title insurance, serving corporate and legal clients across Virginia. She received a Master of Business Administration degree from Averett University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Randolph-Macon Woman's College, studied law through the Virginia Law Reader Program, and has received a number of banking and legal designations. Sally currently teaches in the business program at the National College Lynchburg Campus.

Jane Wright - Pharmacy Technician Department Chair

Jane Wright is a graduate of Medical College of Virginia and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Pharmacy and Biology. Her pharmacy work experience has included hospital, independent community, compounding, long term care, and chain community practice settings. Jane has been a faculty member at the National College Lynchburg Campus since 2002, where she is an instructor of general education, medical, and pharmacy courses and serves as Department Chair of the Pharmacy Technician program.
